This is cool but disturbing

This is cool, but also rather disturbing. The Britney one is my favourite.

So, how've you been?
@ 22/11/2007 – 18:52:34
Hello,
Thought I'd write a post. Mainly been up to starting Mignon (ssh - you know the blog) and Orangeblossom has done most of the work, I have to say (hubster had another engagement with an Indian sunset aparently).
Where would you rather be?

I now have installed not one but TWO new assitants, and am I glad I have them - we're full of work until Christmas and beyond! Just goes to show I was doing the work of three people (ahem). One of them is American and has invited me to her friend's Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night in Glasgow. Wow! I have never been to a Thanksgiving dinner and I have been asked to 'bring a dessert and some beverages'. It's a shame I can't stay the night somewhere, but I'm looking forward to a big feed. What is a good Thanksgiving desert?
I'm going to have a busy week-end. I've offered to help a friend with his research stuff at a fieldwalking site at a place called Cousland in East Lothian on Saturday (eek!) organised by these guys - almost panicked him by saying I couldn't bring my survey equipment to set it all up, but I have found a solution. I hope I didn't stress him out, I do worry about his stress levels.My anger has subsided since leaving work and discovering yet more incompetences by the accounts department. Man, I was fuming. Hopefully I will have calmed down tomorrow and it will either end up with one of two things. Everything getting sorted, or a bloody mess on the floor of the accounts office. These are matters which don't affect me, but a team member quite badly. And I look after my team like a tiger mother!
Anyways. Time to do a mignon (sh) post.
Take care,
Gil xx

Anthem For Doomed Youth

Anthem For Doomed Youth
What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,-
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys, but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.
The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;
Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,
And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.Wilfred Owen 1893 - 1918
