The Good Ship Lollipop and a bit of Green Day
@ 12/07/2008 – 19:02:32
Well, hopefully, the Good Ship Lollipop isn't going to sink without trace with Captain La Spice at the helm. So strap on your pyjamas and pour yourself lashings of ginger beer and have a gander.
I have just spent the last 5 hours playing Guild Wars with Hubster (Fissure of Woe completed, I thank you very much) to keep him awake after a night flight (I know, it was a sacrifice). So some chores have been done, but not as much as I'd hoped. Ho hum.
Here's something to get you going for a summer's Saturday night.

Kicking Bones, Davey Wavey's on his own again and Gordon can just eat my shorts
@ 08/07/2008 – 18:03:42

Well, the Harbingers of Doom are at it again and we're apparently sliding towards a recession. And what has Gordon Brown got to say about it? Don't waste food, it'll save you money. If I had Photoshop, I'd put Gordon Brown's head on Mary Poppin's body. What a boob. Hang on, I'm going to see if anyone's already done it...Nope. Over to you AJ.
So what does that mean for everyone? Well, we all have to tighten our belts - those that live in a place that has no public transport and currently takes 5 hours to get the 25 miles to work due to the crushingly dire public transport services (just sayin').
I know, I know, I didn't have to live here - I could live in the city and go slowly insane with the noise and the pollution and the hobos and the crime. Sigh. Do us a favour, though. Keep going on cheap European holidays and support extensive renovation and conservatoion projects of old buildings.
Well, I'm sure people will be relieved that Doctor Who has finished so they don't have to listen to me drivel on about it like the fanchic I am. Personally, the last episode on Saturday night was possibly THE most fan-obsessed slobber-fest I have seen for a long time. Never have I seen that level of contrived plot devices to make sure all was well in the fan world and they all went to bed happy little bunnies. I mean, we haven't seen the like of this since a good old Buffy and Angel finale - Oh Joss and Russell should you ever get together you will surely disappear up your own backsides. A few too many characters bursting at the seams and it looks like Billie Piper was only really there to tie up the loose ends of the Doctor's moping around (he'd better damn stop that nonsense now). And her acting wasn't exactly stretched here - more lost in the crowd. 'Yes, Billie, we all know you can sob uncontrollably on demand, now snog him already'. Oh - you need me to stop driveling on about Doctor Who, don't you? OK, I'll try. I'll move on to....

Oh, I'm SO getting an award for this year's Who, lovies. Don't forget to catch me in hamlet. Taa-taaa.Bonekickers. Nothing like a TV Series about your profession to make you scream at the TV in fits of outrage. I'll give it a try, although if the Knights Templar and Rosslyn Chapel are mentioned in the same sentence, then I'm throwing a slipper at the TV.
Well, I suppose I had better see to the Bangers and Mash. Hubster has been doing some awful shifts lately, but has the week-end off. And my work has picked up, which means I'm going to have to do a fair bit of overtime by the end of next week. But I don't care, I'm not missing out on a trip to Niagara Falls for anything!

How cool was that?

Brilliant. That's all I have to say.

Cried three times, no cliffanger, yes, a Doctor/Rose moment and - looks like Mickey in Torchwood!

Bring it on!
@ 05/07/2008 – 17:29:37
I have a bottle of wine (back up bottle in fridge for later on), a huge bowl of pasta and some sun-dried tomato and cheese bread, some pyjamas and a bedspread on the sofa. I'm SO ready for Who.
And I will NOT be satisfied until I get a glimpse of the new Who, I cry at least once, there's a heart-breaking Doctor/Rose moment and a show-stopping all singing all dancing will-the-universe-actually-survive cliffhanger which will leave me screaming at the TV until Christmas as if the 52 inches of loveliness had betrayed me herself. Yes!
Here is my TV:
